Bradley Barcola hesitant to sign PSG contract extension

Paris Saint-Germain wants to expand the current deal of Bradley Barcola (22), which ends in the summer of 2028, but the Frenchman hesitates, L'équipe understands it.

Barcola has built on a strong finish of his debut season at PSG to become an important member of the attack. The French International had an excellent start of the campaign for a dip in the fall, but he still has 34 target contributions (18 goals, 16 assists) in 47 performances in all competitions this season.

A consistent performer and one of the most promising prospects in this young PSG side, the hierarchy of the club has been conversations to extend his deal. Barcola, however, wants to wait until the end of the season before he makes a decision.

The Frenchman has not understood some recruitment choices of Les Parisiens, in particular the decision to recruit Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January. The Georgian plays in the same position as Barcola.

There could be further recruitment in this sector of the field. While PSG failed in their attempts to sign Mohamed Salah, there is a long -term interest in as Monacos Maghnes Akliouche that looks again this summer. Barcola therefore wants to wait until the end of the season, when he will know more about the level of competition in the attacking position before the contract extension is extended.
