Jarrad Branthwaite says that Everton should go against Liverpool on Wednesday's last Goodison Park Derby and believes that they can win the game.
Liverpool has lost once in the Premier League this season and will visit Goodison Park for the last time that a victory would take nine points clearly on the top of the table.
Branthwaite scored the opening goal when Everton defeated their Merseyside rivals 2-0 in March to effectively end their title loop in the last season of Jurgen Klopp.
The toffees will hope for a similarly surprised version after a series of three competition profits in a row after the reappointment of David Moyes in January.
“It's the Merseyside Derby, it's another game we want to win, that's it,” Toffees said “defender Branthwaite.
“If you build it up too much, you can fall under pressure, so I think we are going for ourselves as players with the conviction that we can get a result like last season.
“If you go in to play it – all the pressure is on and everyone looks – then you probably won't play at your best.
“It will be different for the fans if they create the atmosphere for us to go outside and do a work. We have to go out and perform.”
Now the attention goes to Wednesday.

In the meantime, Liverpool will be looking to respond from their shock FA Cup fourth round defeat against Plymouth Argyle last Sunday.
The loss in Home Park ended the Hope of Slot to complete the four -fold in his first season in Anfield, with a busy few weeks on the horizon for the Reds.
After their collision with Everton on Wednesday, Liverpool plays four Premier League matches in 10 days, against Wolves, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester City.
“They trained yesterday, and they will train again tomorrow. Most things we do, we do for a reason – we just don't suddenly do something,” said Slot.
“I said earlier that we now have to play a lot of games. The Aston Villa game is also coming again during the week. The last few weeks we played twice a week.
“In the coming weeks we have to play two games each time. That is why it is not only good for them to have a week occasionally when they only play one game.”
Slot also confirmed that defender Joe Gomez and midfielder Curtis Jones would probably miss the game after they had picked up problems against Plymouth during the weekend.
“I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it was the same leg, but I didn't have time to ask him. It was clear, I think we all know about what moment he felt a bit insecure [it] Because he does not completely fall back.
“Then he said,” I'm not 100 percent sure, and I'm afraid that if I do an extra sprint, will go wrong. “
“It is not torn, I assume, but it didn't feel good for him. That was a bit of a blow because Curtis Jones was on the couch, but he came to me this morning and said:” I don't think I'm still still Completely recovered ', even after yesterday's training session.
“That suddenly led to the fact that we were on the field with a few more young people than the idea before the game, but there was still enough quality on the field to get a better result than this.”
Players to watch
Everton – Iliman Ndiaye
Ndiaye is a player reborn under Moyes and scored in each of his last three Premier League matches to move Everton away from the relegation zone.
Indeed, the last player who scored in four in a row for the Toffees was Richarlison between February and March 2021, a run with a goal in a 2-0 victory against Liverpool.
Liverpool – Mohamed Salah
After he was equipped for the FA Cup defeat from Liverpool against Plymouth, Slot hopes that his Talisman can fire the Reds to win ways in Goodison Park.
This season, Salah is directly involved in 21 goals in the 12 Premier League matches of Liverpool (13 goals, eight assists).
It is the joint by a player on the road in a single campaign in the history of the competition, level with Andy Cole in 1993-94 (12 goals, nine assists).
Match prediction: Liverpool Win
Liverpool is unbeaten in their last 19 Premier League matches (W14 D5). On both earlier occasions, they went into a 19+ game undefeated run in a road races against Everton, they were lost-0-1 in October 1978 during a 23-game run and 0-1 in March 1988 then on a 31-game run .
The Reds also won 99 games against Everton in all competitions (D77 L68) – if they win this match, it will be the fifth time that an English competition side has defeated another 100 times since the formation of the football competition in 1888 (Arsenal 111 vs Everton, Manchester United 106 vs Aston Villa, Liverpool 103 vs Aston Villa, Arsenal 100 vs Manchester City).
This is only the third time in the Premier League that Liverpool is facing Everton by the start of the day while he is the top of the table-the others were a 5-2 victory and a 0-0 draw in 2019-20 to win the title that season.
This is the first meeting of Slot with Everton as manager of Liverpool. Only one Reds boss has ever won their very first League Merseyside Derby when that match got away from home, with Kenny Dalglish who supervised a 3-2 victory in September 1985.
But Everton has the recent bragging. They won 2-0 in their last Premier League match against Liverpool in April 2024, last winning successive Merseyside Derbies competition in the 1984-85 campaign.
Everton has won their last three Premier League matches with a total score of 8-2-It is just as many victories as they had in their previous 21 league matches, and as many goals as they had scored in their previous 14. Moyes won the last Four consecutive league games in November 2021 with West Ham, while he last did this as Toffees Boss in March 2008.
And with the raised emotion of the last MerseSide Derby in Goodison Park, fireworks expects. Everton vs Liverpool is the competition that has seen the most red cards (23) and most (12) is signed in the history of Premier League. Liverpool also scored more 90th minute winners against Everton in the competition than any other side against a single opponent (five).
