Brazil in talks with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti for second time

For the second time in three seasons, Brazil set their sights on Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as their priority to take over the national team. It seems that the days of Dorival Junior were numbered in the post, and Ancelotti was the previous favorite to take over for the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) President Ednaldo Rodrigues.

After a 4-1 thrashing through Argentina, Dorival looks like he might be on the way. Relo reports that the most important doubt is whether he will be fired now, and an interim manager is appointed while the Selecao is looking for a new coach, or he will be continued for the international window of June, after which more managers, including Ancelotti, are available.

In 2023, Rodrigues expressed public trust that Ancelotti would become the Brazil manager, and more recently Ronaldo Nazario confirmed that there were negotiations with Italian, but that Real Madrid stopped his departure with a year to go on his contract. Rodrigues was then suspended for a while, but after his return to the post and re -elected, he now set his sights on Ancelotti.

According to Globo Esporte, Brazil, as confirmed by relevant, has again opened conversations with the camp of Ancelotti and received a positive response about possible take over, albeit only after the club of the club in July. The big doubt is again his future in Real Madrid; If Ancelotti protects the Champions League of La Liga, Los Blancos will move to keep him of his contract for the last year; If they fall short, Ancelotti will probably be fired.

An important turning point can take place on Thursday. Xabi Alonso, the highest target of Real Madrid to take over from Ancelotti, is reportedly set to announce whether he will remain Bayer Leverkusen next season. If the Basque manager stays in Germany, Los Blancos is much more likely to hold Ancelotti, but if Alonso were available, there is a scenario in which Ancelotti with Real Madrid could leave more comfortably about let it happen.
