Brazil ‘resume talks with Ancelotti’, Nazario reveals they were so close in 2023

The Brazilian football federation has renewed their interest in Carlo Ancelotti and would like the Italian to be in charge of the World Cup 2026, has claimed a report.

The development comes in the aftermath of the embarrassing 4-1 defeat of the Selecao by Bitter Rivals Argentina in World Cup qualifying on Tuesday evening. Brazil left the result in fourth place, with the first six teams from Conmebol that automatically qualified for the tournament in the US, Mexico and Canada.

The CBF the most recently strived the 65-year-old in 2023 and was willing to make him the first foreign head coach in the history of the nation, while his second enchantment seemed to take the Bernabeu.

“If he hadn't won anything, Real Madrid would have fired him and Ancelotti would have come, but he won the Champions League and stayed for another year.”

Speculation about the future of Ancelotti has continued to swirl despite the excellent versions of Madrid and impressive trophy that draws his second spell with the side. The threatening ghost of former Madrid star and the current Bayer Leverkusen -Sbaas Xabi Alonso is looming.
