Cole Palmer went close to a winner with the last kick of the game while the loot was shared between Chelsea and Brentford in a 0-0 draw.
There was nothing to separate the teams in Sunday's game in Gtech Community Stadium, where Brentford held this campaign a clean slate in the Premier League for the first time.
Yoane Wissa went close to hosts in the third minute when Bryan Mbeumo volleyed a smart cross in the penalty area, but his colleague attacker could only drill a shot in the side network.
The bees ended the first half to have done better, with Mbeumo hit a shot past the post and Wissa Turning provider for Mikkel Damsgaard, who stuck a good chance from close by.
After a non -inspiring first half, Chelsea was helped enormously by their attacking substitutes. Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Pedro Neto provided a strong boost in the last third in front of Enzo Maresca, where Neto Brentford -goalkeeper Mark Flekken was busy with successive shots around the hour.
Chelsea's pedestrians first half – according to their expected goals (XG) value of only 0.49 – she saw four shots gathering to the six of Brentford. In the second half, however, the blues came to life and 17 shots added to the three of the bees, with an XG of 0.83.
After a flurry of half chances at both ends, Palmer almost stole the headlines with a sensational curly effort that whistled over the bar in the last moments.

Data debrief: Chelsea's road frustration rolls on
Chelsea has not succeeded in winning one of their last eight away Premier League matches (three draws, five losses) and scored only three goals in total. The blues last underwent a longer Winless Run on the road in the top flight between April 2000 and March 2001 (16 games).
In fact, in all competitions they have only achieved two wins in their last 10 away games – both of which came to the conference competition.
This time -out they tried 21 shots without scoring -their most without finding the back of the net in a Way Premier League match since December 2017, when they had 25 shots against Everton in Goodison Park.
Chelsea ended the game with an XG of 1.32, while Brentford was not far behind with 1.22 xg.
The two parties combined to create opportunities worth 2.54 xg in a total of two highest count of a Premier League match this season without scoring both teams, after Everton V Newcastle United in October (2.72) and Crystal Palace V Manchester Uned in September (2.71).
