According to a report from L'équipe, Arnaud Kalimuendo (23) is getting closer to an exit from Stade Rennais, where the Voorzitter will probably test the Premier League this summer.
The striker, who is under contract with Rennes until 2027, has reportedly rejected a chance to join Leeds United this summer, with two other clubs still in the race. Brentford FC and Newcastle United are both in conversation with Rennes.
L'Equipe writes that the situation is more advanced with Brentford, but Newcastle is still in the mix. Both Premier League parties need attacks this summer, where Newcastle is linked to several attackers, while Brentford Bryan has seen Mbuemo to Manchester United, while the future of Yoan Wissa remains uncertain.
Kalimuendo comes from an impressive season in Rennes, where he was one of the few consistent clear sparks in an overwhelming campaign. He registered 17 goals and 3 assists in 33 league matches.
