Brentford is in advanced conversations with Liverpool for Caoimhin Kelleher who has in principle agreed to sell Mark Flekken to Bayer Leverkusen.
However, the proposed transfer of Flekken will not continue until the West -London club Kelleher has secured as his replacement in Doel.
Leverkusen and Brentford have agreed a fee in the £ 11 million region (€ 13 million) including add-ons for Dutch International Flekken.
Sky in Germany reports that Flekken is ready to undergo a medical with Leverkusen.
If the deal is completed without problems, Flekken will be connected with the former Manchester United Baas Erik ten Hag in Germany.
Brentford has since been interested in Kelleher before they signed Flekken, but Liverpool – who are understood as the Republic of Ireland International of more than £ 20 million – have only been open to sell it since he secured Giorgi Mhaldashvili from Valencia from Valencia last summer.
Kelleher is supposed to compete for a starting place and the arrival of Mhamardashvili means that it is the Georgian who will fight with Alisson next season.
Brentford is confronted with competition from other clubs for Kelleher, 26, including Van Leeds and West Ham, but the side of Thomas Frank is now in pole position and has a strong relationship with Liverpool that Sepp van den Berg secured last summer.
Hallgrimson wants to see Kelleher move
The boss of the Republic of Ireland Heimir Hallgrimsson openly spoke about the will of Kelleher that he would leave Anfield in search of regular minutes as first-choice keeper elsewhere.
Kelleher, closed for his country 22 times, secure his second Premier League title with the Reds this season, but only started 10 games with Alisson for him in the pecking order.
“I just want him to go to a club where he will play regularly,” said Hallgrimsson earlier in May.
“He played at the highest level, whether it's the Champions League or the Premier League, and it very well done. I just want him to be happy and play regularly.
“I know he wants to play at the highest level. I think – I am not sure – he will play at the highest level.

Kayode -Signs for Brentford
Brentford wants to be done early in the summer window after he has already confirmed Michael Kayode's signing for a five -year -old deal. The club also has an option to extend its contract with another 12 months.
Kayode started a half -season loan in January with the club from Fiorentina, which is now made permanent up to 2030.
When signing his new contract, the 20-year-old defender said: “I am so excited to extend my stay in Brentford.
“I felt so welcome from the first day I arrived at the club, thanks to my teammates and the care that the coaching staff showed me.
