Brentford unlikely to sell both amid Man Utd, Spurs, Newcastle, Forest interest

Brentford is very unlikely to sell both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa this summer, amid interest from various Premier League clubs.

Manchester United has been in conversation with Brentford for Mbeumo for a long time, but there is a gap in their respective ratings of the attacker.

The offer of United of a fixed reimbursement of £ 55 million plus £ 7.5 million in add-ons does not shoot at the £ 65 million Brentford, including all, if not most, in advance.

In the meantime, Wissa is a target for Tottenham, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest, the last to have recently rejected an offer for the Congo striker.

Whichever club also matches a deal for Wissa or Mbeumo, would almost certainly exclude the sale of the other person.

Brentford sells Mbeumo and Wissa would be such an important loss of goals and attack talent that it would be almost impossible for the club to lose them.

That is especially the case after losing manager Thomas Frank to Tottenham and their captain Christian Norgaard of Arsenal.

Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals last season, while Wissa scores 19. Mbeumo joined Troyes in 2019 for just over £ 4 million, while Wissa signed Lorient for around £ 7.2 million in 2021.

Mbeumo has made it clear that he only wants to move to United and personal conditions are supposed to have been agreed in principle.

Bee -Sports director Phil Giles told Sky Sports News that Mbeumo would like to stay in the club if a deal, who must be “equal to Brentford”, will not come true.
