Brian Ortega was not a big fan of his game plan for Diego Lopes.
The UFC title Challenger, tested by the battle, who fought with Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway was eliminated for the first time in his career last year for the first time.
After an entry victory over Yair Rodriguez, Ortega had hoped to return to title conflicts at UFC 306, where he was opposed to striped competition Diego Lopes.
Lopes did not waste time to take the fight to Ortega, so he almost finished with strikes in the opening round. The sustainable Ortega could stay on his feet and survived to see the distance.
Ortega lost Lopes through a unanimous decision and thought about the near-finish months later.

“He made up for me.
“I believe the meme, Bro. I think that second [punch] They woke me up, “Ortega admitted.
“I have to humiliate myself and be honest. I remember being hit – I didn't like the idea of our game plan,” said Ortega about fighting Lopes.
