After the Euroopa League defeat of the Red Devils against Tottenham, Fernandes opened the door to a united exit.

The beaten finalist said: “I have always been honest. I have always said that I will be here until the club tells me it is time to go.

“I would like to do more to be able to bring the club the great days.

“On the day the club thinks I'm too much or it's time to separate, football is that way, you never know. But I have always said it and I keep my word in the same way.

“If the club thinks it's time to separate because they want to come up with some money or whatever, it is what it is and football is sometimes so.”
