Portugal International Bruno Fernandes and Manchester United can carefully consider their options when Real Madrid comes in with an important offer for the Talismian midfielder of the Red Devils
Real Madrid is considering a Blockbuster movement to sign midfielder Bruno Fernandes, and the news brings firm the Star's Manchester United in mind. The La Liga Giants have scouted the Portuguese bait heavily and a £ 90 million movement could now be ahead.
Van Los Blancos is said to have been present at almost all United competitions and believe that Fernandes would turn out to be a perfect fit in front of Carlo Ancelotti, according to the Daily Star. The 30-year-old United Talisman has delivered 16 goals and 13 assists despite the failing season of United.
Fernandes still has more than two years on his contract, with an option for another 12 months, after he had put a new deal on paper in August after a summer of speculation that connects him with a relocation of Old Trafford. However, that decision came with a number of guarantees.
The interest of Real Madrid will certainly shed it back in the light, especially with United, currently struggling in the lower half of the Premier League. Fernandes wanted to be competitive and for the club to show that ambition.
“The club knew I want to compete with the best teams,” Fernandes said in August. “They knew we had to improve the team. And I think we do that.
“I told them:” I don't need you to promise that we are going to win the competition, “because nobody can promise. But at least we have a team to compete and be competitive throughout the season, to try to reach silverware and compete at the highest levels.
“I think the club is doing that. It is trying to get people to get more players with quality in the team; to become more competitive, [so everyone is] Fighting for your place. “
United was ambitious in their expenses before 2024/25, but have passed a difficult season, and a revision is expected somewhat if the club wants to compete under Ruben Amorim. The expenditure of the Red Devils will be partly determined by the sale, although Sir Jim Ratcliffe has suggested that his team will not be forced to sell because of the financial situation.
“No no. We will not sell players because of the state in which we are financially,” he said earlier this month. “The club was blown up, so we have reduced that and will finish it with a slender and efficient organization. This is how we will tackle the costs.
“The player's decisions will all be focused on how we are going to improve performance. That is all. Of course that budget changes, but on who we can choose to sell because that would supplement the budget.”
Amorim will be reluctant to lose his star player, but it is still to be seen whether £ 90 million could be a seductive offer.
