Manchester United seems to land a different move after completing a deal for Matheus Cunha – with Bryan Mbeumo interested in a move to Old Trafford from Brentford this summer
Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo wants to move to Manchester United this summer. The Cameroon International has indicated his preference and the Red Devils are now ready to have conversations with the bees about a deal for the 25-year-old.
Mbeumo, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League in 2024/25, has settled as an integral part of the Thomas Frank team and has attracted interest from the Premier League. The attacker only has one year left to his contract in West London, but Brentford has an option to extend the deal by 12 months.
The bee star has attracted an interest of Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but the athletic report Mbeumo is in favor of a move to Old Trafford, provided that they can agree with his current club.
It is unlikely that it will be available for a cheap price, with a fee of £ 50 million advertised for his services. Brentford boss Frank is determined that it will be a precious deal to do.
“It is clear that if it is sold, it must be a nice, nice amount. It's a lot,” Frank said recently. “Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace it one by one. It cannot be done.”
But Frank is not surprised by much interest. “I would say that I would be surprised if many big clubs didn't watch him,” he added.
“I would be surprised by what he has to offer. How many Wingers score 20 goals for a center tablet club?
“And then with seven assists plus his work ethics. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player.”
United focused their attention on Mbeumo after missing the city of Ipswich, Vooruit Liam Delap, and must have inhaled a sigh of relief. Delap has chosen to make a switch to Chelsea instead.
