Bryce Mitchell dropped legendary striker who Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated

Jean Silva is not the first Brazilian striker Bryce Mitchell has been toe to toe.

A controversial star on the UFC selection, the Mitchell van Arkansas returns this weekend on the main map of UFC 314, where he compiles Jean Silva.

The Silva of the Fighting Nerds wears a lot of hype on the way to the featherweight matchup in Miami, the non -frank prospect ends 12 of his 15 wins by Knock -Out.

Win and losses exchanged for the best in recent years, it was not long that Bryce Mitchell was a 15-0 competition in the Feather Waard Division and his place in the top 10 with six consecutive victories and a rare Twister entrance.

The biggest victory of the Grappler so far? Former top 5 lightweight competition and one of the scariest knockout artists that the UFC has ever seen: Edson Barboza.

Bryce Mitchell has eliminated Edson Barboza almost in 90 seconds

The Brazilian Barboza has UFC victories through main kick, body kick and even two by leg kick. Barboza fought a row of a murderer in the lightweight division, including Tony Ferguson and the unbeaten Khabib Nurmagomedov before he went to 145 pounds, where he later found success in his career.

But not with Mitchell. Barboza entered a striker versus grappler -matchup on UFC 272 and was absolutely dominated by 'Thug Nasty'.

90 seconds in the opening round, Mitchell landed the biggest shots of the fight and hit the Brazilian with a 1-2 combo. The commentators could not believe their eyes.

Instead of hurrying to the finish on the feet, Mitchell took the time to get Barboza to the ground. With top position, Mitchell checked for the most of the round where it would be one -way traffic from that moment.

Bryce Mitchell had more control time than Khabib Nurmagomedov

In the second round, Barboza would have nothing for Mitchell in the striking one, being brought down again, this time in 30 seconds. Halfway through the round, Mitchell Barboza cuts open with an elbow with blood that leaks out.

Barboza finally came up again to be removed again.

A minute in the third round, Timed Mitchell Perfect A Takedown with double legs to control Barboza for the rest of the fight. Mitchell battered and bloody barboza with soil and pound, with elbows unleashed for the last bell.

Mitchell defeated Barboza via a unanimous decision (30-25, 30-26, 30-27) with one judge who scored two 10-8 rounds for Mitchell.

Compared to the dominant performance of Khabib Nurmagomedov against Edson Barboza in 2019, Mitchell 4/4 went on his Takedown attempts, while Nurmagomedov 4/13 went. Mitchell checked Barboza for 58 seconds longer than Nurmagomedov.

Mitchell still had 28 total strikes than Nurmagomedov, who only fell behind in important strikes.

“The amount of land control in this fight,” said Joe Rogan about Mitchell's victory over Edson Barboza.

“We have not seen anyone else do, except Khabib …

“Who did this to Edson Barboza? Nobody, right?” Asked Rogan.

Faced with Jean Silva next Saturday, Bryce Mitchell will probably have to recreate this kind of performance to close his dangerous opponent.
