Bukayo Saka set to miss further EIGHT WEEKS in another devastating injury blow for Arsenal as slim title hopes fade

Bukayo Saka will be set aside for eight weeks as the injury native mare of Arsenal intensified.

While the Gunners confirmed that the German Kai Havertz was out for the season prior to undergoing hamstring operation, it turned out that Saka's similar injury could prevent him from returning until mid -April.

When Saka handed away in December of the 5-1 crushing of Crystal Palace, Arsenal hoped that he was fit next month.

The club published photos of the England -that went through Rehab exercises during this week's training camp in Dubai.

But Baas Mikel Arteta, now left with only Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and teen Ethan Nwaneri as fit attack options with first educational experience, will not take any further gamble on Saka unless he is absolutely ready.

That reluctance to risk Saka, whose explosive push on his wounded right leg is an important part of his threat, could now see the winger in total on the sidelines.

In the meantime, the expected bad news about Havertz, the 14-goalker of the club, was confirmed.

Arsenal announced: “We can confirm that Kai Havertz sustained a hamstring injury last week during a training session in Dubai.

“Subsequent reviews and specialist assessments have confirmed that the injury requires surgery that will take place in the coming days.

“Kai will start his recovery and rehabilitation program shortly after the operation, which is expected to extend to pre-season preparations for next season.
