Sevilla right-back and Olympic gold medalist Juanlu Sánchez has been on the radar of major European clubs since breaking into the first team at Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan. However, this could be the transfer window he leaves, now Los Nervionenses negotiating a difficult salary cap situation.
Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have opened talks with Sevilla for Juanlu and are looking to secure a loan with an option to buy, which Cadena SER would get for a 'significant sum'. Depending on the terms of the deal and certain objectives being achieved, that option could also become mandatory next summer.
Juanlu is tipped to replace Jesus Navas on the right flank this season, but Garcia Pimienta has used him more often in midfield this season. It could be considered a coup for Leipzig if they get a deal done, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid all scouting him this season.
