Rayo Vallecano Right back Andrei Ratiu enjoys a good season in Vallecas, but it looks very much like it might be his last. The Romanian international has attracted the attention of a number of top clubs, and although his destination is not clear, his exit increasingly resembles a matter of when not like.
The 26-year-old has a release clause of € 25 million, of which Villarreal receives 50% due to a sales clause, and Rayo will look for the entire release clause. That would make him the most expensive sales in the history of the club, although he is based on the number of top clubs that is linked to him, that may not be a problem.
In Spain, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are linked to him, where the first this summer looks at various right back options, including Vandersonon and Marc Pubill. Earlier in the year, Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly exploring Ratiu, but Liverpool was more recently linked to him. They want to strengthen the right-hand place prior to the approaching arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold on the road in the Santiago Bernabeu.
Now Diario as say that Bayer Leverkusen is the newest side to consider Ratiu as a serious option for a summer movement, and notes that there are teams in England that also love him. They will probably lose Jeremie Frimpong in the summer – remarkably enough, Liverpool seem to prioritize the Dutchman, which would probably come to them from a movement for Ratiu.
Ratiu stands for his impressive physique and pace, this season is defensive solid and a new weapon for Rayo in the future. Good on the ball, he also appeared in matches against Raphinha and Vinicius Junior, although he ran at the Santiago Bernabeu before the international break.
