Burn hailed as a ‘legend’ after being filmed pushing a stranger’s car to safety

Newcastle United and England Defender Dan Burn is praised as a 'legend' after he helped a motorist in need.

Several photos and videos went viral during the weekend after Burn was seen to help the broken car of a stranger safely from a roundabout.

It is understanding that the incident took place on the Moor Farm Roundabout in Cramlington, about 10 miles from the St James Park Stadium in Newcastle.

A video, taken from a vehicle nearby, showed burns, dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, so he really put it in while he helped two other people pushing the restless car.

In the video a child can be heard: “Mom, is that actually Burn?”

The parent answers: 'It's Aye. Absolute legend. '

Burns had already protected the legendary status on Tyneside by scoring last month at Wembley in the 2-1 victory of Newcastle over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

Five days after that famous final, in which Newcastle saw their 70-year waiting time ending for a large domestic trophy, Burn returned to Wembley to make his senior international debut for England.

The towering 6ft 7in defender, who grew up just a short driving in the Blyth, Northumberland, is known for his sober personality, despite his rise to Premier League and International Stardom.

Fans were quickly the 32-year-old online prices.

One x (formerly Twitter) user noted: 'Dan Burn will help a broken car from Moor Farm Roundabout earlier today. He is just a top boy, right? '

Another message was: “Then realize burning of his local legend status.”

A third tweet joked: “Wins Carabao Cup, pushes cars, possesses PL -attackers … what can Burn not do?”
