Burnley 0-0 Leeds United: Parker’s Clarets keep seventh clean sheet in a row

Burnley took their run without giving a goal to more than 10 hours when they kept championship leaders Leeds to a scoreless draw at Turf Moor.

Watford on December 21 was the last team that broke through the Claret Wall and the side of Scott Parker has now brought in seven clean sheets.

This season they only admitted nine goals in 29 league matches. That is a joint record in English football history, level with the Chelsea side of Jose Mourinho in 2004/05 at the same stage.

It was a missed opportunity for Burnley to go to second place and go on points with Leeds. They remain three points behind the leaders, and a point of Sheffield United in second place.
