Cadillac Escalade IQ 2025: A new electric experience with unparalleled luxury

Cadillac announced the launch of the 2025 Escalade IQ, the all-electric version of its famous Escalade model. This move reflects the company's commitment to transitioning to electric vehicles while maintaining the luxury and excellent performance that Cadillac is known for.

Interior technology and features

The cabin features a 55-inch curved infotainment screen that spans the entire dashboard, inspired by the Lyriq's 33-inch screen. Additionally, an additional touchscreen is located in front of the center console for easier access to climate control and other vehicle functions.

Laser-etched wood finishes add a touch of luxury, and the elegance of the interior is enhanced by customizable mood lighting, with a choice of 126 different colours.

The optional AKG Studio Reference audio system delivers a premium 360-degree listening experience, with 40 speakers carefully distributed throughout the vehicle delivering exceptional sound quality.

Exterior design

The Escalade IQ is built on the same modular platform as the Lyriq SUV, ensuring seamless integration of technologies and innovations between the two models. The car has an exterior design that combines modernity and elegance, with a fixed glass roof with a dynamic design, a plain black grille and vertical LED lighting.

Escalade IQ boasts more than 25 years of heritage, with a long nose, strong body lines and a boxy overall shape, giving it an imposing presence on the road.

Charging and performance

The vehicle has a fast charging option that can add a range of 160 kilometers in just ten minutes using a DC fast charger. Furthermore, it features an air suspension system that provides superior ride comfort, with the ability to adapt to different road conditions.

Engine and performance

The Escalade IQ is powered by two electric motors, one for each axle, delivering a combined output of 680 hp (507 kW) and 615 lb-ft (834 Nm) of torque. When the 'Velocity Max' mode is activated, power increases to 750 hp (560 kW), allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds.

The car is equipped with a large 200 kWh battery, allowing a driving range of up to 724 km before needing to be recharged, making it ideal for long journeys.

Production and launch

The Cadillac Escalade IQ is expected to go on sale in late 2024, with more details on pricing and additional specifications available closer to the launch date. This car represents an important step in Cadillac's journey toward an electric future, while maintaining the standards of luxury and performance that have distinguished the brand over the years.
