Callum Wilson transfer news: West Ham to sign ex-Newcastle forward as free agent

West Ham has agreed to sign a deal to sign Point Callum Wilson.

The 33-year-old, who left Newcastle at the end of June at the expiry of his contract, will sign a one-year-old deal at the London Stadium.

Wilson spent five seasons in St James' Park and scored 49 goals in 130 games for the Magpies and won the EFL Cup with Eddie How's Kant last season.

Wilson, however, had an injury hit campaign in the previous term and scored none of his 18 Premier League outings for Newcastle.

West Ham makes an approach to Leicester's Hermansen

West Ham has a formal approach to Leicester for goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

The hammers are looking for a keeper after Lukasz Fabianski left when his contract expired in July.

Casper Ankergren is the new goalkeeper coach at West Ham and previously worked with Hermansen near Brondby.
