Calvin Kattar probably lost its place in the featherweight Top 15 with a new crooked defeat at UFC Vegas 102.
UFC Feedweight Support Pilower Calvin Kattar's descent in the division continued on Saturday at UFC Vegas 102 on the Apex.
Faced with unchanged but striping featherweight Youssef Zalal in the UFC Vegas 102 Co-Main event struggled Kattar to prevent the heavy output of Zalal over the three rounds. Despite a late rally in round 3, boxing of Kattar was largely ineffective against the grasping Ace Zalal, who surprised Kattar with his strength on the feet.
After three rounds, Zalal Kattar defeated a unanimous decision for his fourth consecutive UFC victory since he returned to the promotion last March. In the meantime, Kattar has now lost four consecutive fights and will probably lose his number 10 spot in the rankings of featherweight next week.

Calvin Kattar slides out of the featherweight mix with donable defeat at UFC Vegas 102
It has been a steep slide for Kattar since a crooked defeat for former UFC-Fedweight champion Max Holloway in January 2021. Since the Holloway fight, Kattar has lost four of his last five fights, including a unanimous decision loss for the then debited Aljamain Sterling in His most recent fight on UFC 300.
Kattar's Fighting Future is uncertain after UFC Vegas 102. Although he had some positive moments against Zalal, the 36-year-old Kattar is now firmly out of the featherweight title mix after extending his continuous losing streak.
After a split loss of decision for Josh Emmett at UFC Austin in June 2022, Kattar tore his ACL only a few seconds in round 2 of his main event collision with Arnold Allen later that year. Kattar did not compete in the Octagon to the Sterling fight on UFC 300 and concluded a 18-month break.
Kattar earned the title of UFC Fanfavoriet after previous victories, such as Shane Burgos, Jeremy Stephens and Dan Ige. Kattar almost handed Zabit Magomedsharipov his first UFC Defeat in November 2019, but eventually lost due to unanimous decision about the jury's score cards.
UFC Vegas 102 contained a veteran with retirement, new stars shining and a wild middleweight headliner
The loss of Kattar came to the top after a whole series of headline-worthy moments for the return of the UFC. UFC Bantamweight Julia Avila announced her retirement in the cage after a loss for Jacqueline Cavalcanti
Top perspectives Jose Delgado and Gabriel Bonfim continued their fast climbs with striking versions at UFC Vegas 102 Undercard. Valter Walker, the brother of UFC star Johnny Walker, won his second consecutive UFC fight by earning a heel-hook entry finish.
In the main event, the 40-year-old Jared Cannonier turned the clock back with a wonderful bowl-of-Behind victory over Gregory Rodrigues. View the full results of UFC Vegas 102.
