Canelo Alvarez said he would never allow Dazn to postpone his match again after UFC 244 Clash
Although the decision was made to Alvarez vs. Kovalev the same night as UFC 244, Dazn decided that it was in their best interest to prevent the two selection frameworks from taking place at the same time.
That meant that while Masvidal Diaz defeated via TKO at UFC 244 in MSG, Alvarez and Kovalev around the glazed backstage waited in MGM Grand Garden Arena, which led to a gap of more than an hour between the Co-Main event and their WBO-LIGHT HEVELLEGE TITTEG.
The delay in the end did not make the Mexican star when it came to his performance in the ring. Alvarez then outdoors Kovalev on spectacular fashion in round 11 to add another championship to his collection. But that does not mean that he was satisfied with how things were handled.
Speaking with ESPN deports after the fight, an apparently angry Alvarez complained about the delay to his main event and insisted that he would never allow a repeat of the situation.
“I will not allow them to do that, at least for my fighting,” said Alvarez. “I'll talk to them (Dazn).”

ESPN leaves MGM Grand Garden Arena Air UFC 244 while waiting
While boxing fans at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas may be frustrated by the long delay to Alvarez vs. Kovalev, in the meantime they had at least some action to look at.
MGM leaders asked UFC and ESPN if they could place UFC 244 on the large screens in MGM Grand Garden Arena. The broadcaster and UFC were 2,500 miles away to show the BMF title fight, while the fans in Las Vegas were waiting for the competition for which they had actually bought tickets to go into the ring.
“So we were there, and MGM called and said that:” You are now halfway through your co-limain event, “White told reporters during the post-fighting scrum in New York City.” “People here lose their mind, or whatever.” Can we show the Diaz fight on the MGM?
“I was just like:” Holy S —! This is crazy! This is getting crazier with the minute! ” I woke up and dreamed all of this that it could happen.
“It was crazy. And of course we said yes, and they did (show it).”
