Cardiff City star devastated after brother, 30, dies in first Muay Thai fight

A star Cardiff City fought his brother who unfortunately died.

Andy Rinomhota's brother or sister Joseph Itai Rinomhota, 30, died after a staircase to the ribs in his very first Muay Thai match in Thailand.

Rinomhota, 27, said: “No words or photos will be enough to show or express love that I have and will always have my brother for you.

“Those we love do not leave, they walk next to us every day.

“Rest in Peace Joe.”

Joseph competed on Friday in the Samui International Muay Thai Stadium on the popular tourist island of Koh Samu.

The fight, which started at 9.30 pm local time, was stopped by the referee in the third round after the Brit reported in the right side of his rib cage, reports the local outlet Khaosod English.

He managed to leave the ring and pulled out his gloves, but suddenly became unwell as he unpacked his hand tires.

Witnesses said he started to experience muscle tension struggled to breathe and his eyes began to roll.

Although it was still aware, he collapsed shortly thereafter, said he had stopped with his heart.

The British trainer desperately carried out resuscitation until the emergency services had brought him to the Thai International Hospital, less than two miles from the location.

But despite the efforts of Medici, he was declared dead at 11 p.m. local time.
