Michael Chandler's career as a top candidate is over, according to a UFC Hall of Famer.
The former triple Bellator Lightweight Champion was bloody battered because he suffered a shockingly one-sided third-round TKO loss against Paddy Pimblett in the UFC 314 Co-Main event.
Michael Chandler has now been 2-5 since he came to the UFC in 2021, but his future with the company seems to be safe after Dana White compared him to boxing legend Aturo Gatti during his press conference after the fight in Miami, Florida.
Michael Bisping, however, believes that the American's career was drastically changed by his last loss.

Michael Bisping reflects on UFC 314 'Career Killer'
Bisping Branded Pimblett's victory over Chandler A 'Mauling' during his review after the fight of UFC 314.
The former UFC champion middleweight believes that it is a fight that the paths of both men will change.
The most striking is that the greatest legend of Great Britain is on it that Chandler's Run at the top of MMA is officially over.
“I don't say this lightly, but that was a career-killing performance for Michael Chandler,” said Bisping.
“Yes, of course he will fight again. Yes, he will still earn money. Yes, people will want to coordinate. But it is, there are no more title interviews, there is no 'you see at the top'. Paddy Pimblett has all put an end.
“If he was 30 years old, he could go again, he could take off himself and have another crack on the whip. But no, father's time is unbeaten. He is 38 years old and there is no way to get back in the title.”
What is the next step for Paddy Pimblett?
Pimblett seems to be a big win of a shot on lightweight gold.
During his interview after the fight with Joe Rogan, the 30-year-old mentioned the ideal opponent for his next scrap as Charles Oliveira, who ruled over the 155 pound division before Islam Makhachev started his historic run as champion in October 2022.
“I respect Dustin [Poirier]Justin [Gaethje]And Charles, “Pimblett said.
“Charles is the biggest legend of all, and he becomes the best submission artist who has ever seen the UFCs.
“Well, I dispute that. I am here! So I versus Charles.”
