Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has denied contact with the Brazilian football federation (CBF) with regard to possible Brazilian manager Dorival Junior, as well as the version of Ronaldo Nazarios version of events, the last time he was coupled to the Selecao. The Italian again confirmed his dedication to Los Blancos.
After having had a harmful 4-1 defeat against Argentina on Tuesday evening, Dorival's job security was a hot topic of discussion, whereby the CBF is said to look at alternative candidates. After re-election, CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues seems to chase Ancelotti as his favorite for the track. Further reports stated that Brazil had even contacted the Ancelotti camp.
Recently, Real Madrid -legend Ronaldo claimed that during the previous conversations between Ancelotti and Brazil he had been involved in the negotiation for the Italian to take over. This was a version of events that were refused by Ancelotti.
“I can't remember that I had talked to him about that. I discussed many things with Ronaldo, but I don't know that,” he told the press.
“The contract is clear, I have nothing to do with this. I have great affection for the Brazilian national team, their players and their fans, but I have a contract with Madrid. The contract is clear.”
“No,” was his very blunt response to the question whether he had been contacted again by the CBF this week. He was also asked how he dealt with the speculation about his future
“I had a great time because I went to Italy to see my great -grandparents … and I had a great time.”
