Carlo Ancelotti has announced his second Brazilian team, making various daring choices for the last two 2026 World Cup qualifications of Selecao against Chile and Bolivia in September.
The Italian coach left Neymar, Vinicius JR and Rodrygo and Eer Militao. Neymar, who recently had a small fitness problem, was not taken into consideration, with Ancelotti explaining that Brazil already knows what he can offer. Instead, the coach chose to test new options.
Among the remarkable inclusions are Lucas Paqueta, who returns to the team, and Cruzeiro to the front Kaio Jorge, the only new face. Marquinhos, Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Raphinha and Richarlison are also part of the group.
Chelsea -young Estevao is also taken.
“This group must have a fixed core of players who will be important for the World Cup. Around this core we have to test players who can make the last team in the future,” said Ancelotti.
Brazil, already qualified for the World Cup 2026, will be opposed to Chile on 4 September in the Maracana before traveling to Bolivia on 9 September.
