Real Madrid have made a rapid turnaround ahead of their UEFA Champions League trip to Atalanta on December 10.
Los Blancos secured a crucial 3-0 La Liga weekend victory in Girona, but they have less than 72 hours to prepare for a showdown in Bergamo.
Carlo Ancelotti needs a positive result as he returns to his native country, with the defending European champions currently 24th in the league table.
Two consecutive defeats, and three in total, are a shocking dip in form for Ancelotti's team and the match against Atalanta is their last European match of 2024.
After the win at the Estadi Montilivi, Ancelotti offered an important fitness update on three players, one of whom was certain to miss the trip to Italy.
'Jude Bellingham is doing well. He was just tired, that's why he dropped out. He will be available,” he said.
“Ferland Mendy is injured. He has a muscle injury, but I think Rodrygo will come back for Atalanta.”
The news on Bellingham is positive, with the England star scoring five goals in his last six games, and Rodrygo should at least make the bench.
Mendy's continued absence is a blow, with Fran Garcia set to remain in his place at left-back.
