Carlos Baleba transfer: Man Utd given hope after Brighton drop huge hint

Manchester United was able to take Brighton Boss Fabian Hurzeler's latest comments while they try to sign Seagulls -midfielder Carlos Baleba to strengthen their midfield

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler is not afraid to lose his Seagulls stars, and is convinced that his side will continue to find solutions when their stars are sold. Carlos Baleba is the newest striking player to be linked to a step away from the Amex Stadium, with Manchester United the interested party.

The Red Devils then have a midfielder on their agenda after completing a deal for Benjamin Sesko. The transfer of £ 74 million followed the additions of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to the Ruben Amorim team.

Brighton has already seen Joao Pedro leave this summer for a considerable amount and waved goodbye to Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo in the past seasons. And Hurzeler, 32, is not disturbed by the prospect that it is a pattern that will continue to take effect.

While the head coach of the Seagulls indicated that examples of Brighton are not exclusively a sales club, the position of German boss United can offer a heart. There was certainly no hands of warning when Hurzeler discussed his team.

“We as a club always find solutions and I am sure that we will find solutions in the future,” Hurzeler told the Monday evening club. “That is our model, we have to accept it.

“I think we as a club have proven that we not only sell big players. We have had offers for other players – big offers for [Kaoru] Mitoma and other players. We have proven that we do not sell every player.

“Of course there were a number of major players who left the club, but there are new players who enter the club. With the gathering we have, with the team chemistry we have, we can compete with the big teams, and we can compete with teams that may be individually better than we do.”

Hurzeler retains confidence in the ability of his side to handle any setback. “No chance. I feel no fear,” he said when he was asked if he is worried about obliging important players.

“I am not afraid of anything, because the only thing we can do is the best version we can be every day, as we can as hard as we can. All other things we cannot influence, so we really have to concentrate on ourselves.

“We certainly cannot spend the money like the big teams, but one of our biggest values is togetherness. And if you stay together, if we try to push our boundaries and increase the boundaries, I am sure we can compete with the big teams.”
