Carlos Cuesta recently left Arsenal to become Parma's head coach from the Italian side
Parma is supposed to have asked first questions about the possible signing of Arsenal -attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira. The 25-year-old Portugal International recently returned to North London after a seasonal loan in Porto.
In June 2020, Vieira joined the Gunners in a deal with a value of a maximum of £ 34.2 million including add-ons.
So far, however, the move has not been successful for the versatile attacker and it is very likely that he will now leave the club this summer.
Reports in Italy suggest that Carlos Cuesta – the former assistant of Mikel Arteta – likes to bring Vieira to Parma as part of his new look project.
Cuesta spent almost five years with the Emirates who work together with Arteta, but now he is starting his very first management role in the Serie A.
Arsenal is ready to sell Vieira and would be open to do business with the Italians if they want to formalize their interest.
The playmaker, who can also play broadly, can recently be seen in the Club World Cup and collected only five goals and six assists in 42 performances for the Portuguese giants last season.
Parma's interest in Vieira comes in the midst of Arsenal's striving for Chelsea wing player Noni Madueke.
The Gunners are assumed that they have indicated their willingness to pay around £ 50 million for the international of England, including bonuses.
Negotiations and discussions remain underway, but it is clear that that figure is not a million miles away from the appreciation of Chelsea.
