Carlos González: Ter Stegen is the victim, not the culprit

Ter Stegen has been at Barcelona for eleven seasons. The German has always been an example, a very profitable player for Barcelona and one of the best in the world in his position. His struggle with Courtois and Oblak has been spectacular over the years and his starting position is undisputed.

Now Barcelona is trying to kick him out of the back door. There is nothing sad than seeing the maneuvers of Laporta, again, with many sycophants who surround him who try to let us go with the millstones. No, I refuse. The German goalkeeper has the right to fulfill the contract he has signed. Ter Stegen is not guilty of wanting to fulfill the agreement and his club, again because of the poor management, who needs his transfer to register a player. He is also not guilty of signing Joan García without being sure that he can play. These are all mistakes from Barcelona, not those of the German keeper.

Another thing is that the club, always at the fence because of its financial problems, is upset that the player did not accept a transfer and has now undergone surgery, as if people go under the knife for nothing. What is ridiculous in turn is that a club of Barcelona's status has to go through these kinds of stories to register a player and discuss whether his malfunction is three or five months. By the way, don't worry, the Spanish government can come back and lend a hand, such as with Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.

The worst thing is that they also point out fingers to Ter Stegen because they do what someone else would do in his position. The German, lately impeded by injuries, is looking forward to his future and that of his family. I don't think he deserves the treatment he receives, and it's a shame that a player like him, a keeper who has defined an era in Barcelona, has to suffer this season by some.
