Carlos Prates worries UFC fans by revealing crazy number of cigarettes he smokes each day

Fight fans are becoming more and more concerned about the smoking habit of UFC star Carlos Prates.

UFC Welterweight Competier Carlos Prates is one of the smartest young stars on the Roster in 2025. Prates has dominated the competition in just a handful of battles in the cage, including a brutal finish in his first career UFC Main Event in his most recent outing.

Prates was supposed to make a colleague favorite from UFC Fan, Geoff Neal, on the UFC 314 head card on April 12 in Miami. But just a few weeks away from the event, Neal withdrew due to an injury and Prates is not expected to get a short-notice replacement opponent.

But Prates teased some big news about his UFC recovery, although it is uncertain whether it will take place against Neal or another competition. In both cases, Prates has a habit that has a number of fighting fans who are concerned about his long -term future in and out of the cage.

Carlos Prates smokes multiple packages per day amidst meteoric UFC rise

Prates is not afraid to announce his love for cigarettes, sometimes smoking just before you take the walk to the Octagon on Fight Day. In anticipation of his most recent fight against Neil Magny, Prates tried to smoke only a few minutes before he took the walk before UFC staff intervened.

In a recent vlog published by full violence, Prates was asked how many cigarettes he smokes on a typical day in his life.

“Normal day? Maybe 10, 15 cigarettes,” Prates replied.

After the recognition of Prates became viral, fans expressed their concern about the Fighting Future of the UFC star.

Prates is 21-6 in his professional MMA career with four consecutive victories to start his UFC official period. He earned a shot in the UFC through the Contender Series of Dana White in 2023 and beat Mitch Ramirez with one blow.

Volkanovski raised some eyebrows when he recently said that the only way he loses at UFC 314 is by a 'Puncher's Chance'. His comments came after back-to-back brutal knockout defeats for Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria.

Volkanovski is confronted with Diego Lopes, one of the rising stars of the UFC next to Prates, in the UFC 314 Main Event for the vacant featherweight title. Topuria will leave the belt for a full -time movement to lightweight.

Volkanovski has much to prove on UFC 314, but in the meantime speculation continues to run unbridled on how the UFC 314 headliner will take place.
