Carragher aims cheeky dig at Rashford & Man Utd after Villa’s UEL anthem blunder

Jamie Carragher offered a brutal excavation at Marcus Rashford and Manchester United after an embarrassing blunder from Aston Villa for their quarterfinals of Champions League against PSG.

The Liverpool – legend responded to Aston Villa who accidentally played the Europa League volk song – a match in which the club did not participate in almost 15 years – before kick -off against the French champions.

Images showed the reaction of players from both sides, with different PSG stars seemed stunned by the blunder.

Aston Villas Ezri Konsa and Youri Tielemans were struggling to hold in their laughter while the teams were awkward while the wrong music played.

Carragher took the opportunity to get an excavation in Liverpool's Arch Rivals Man United, while the cameras pledged to Rashford.

“I mean, actually Marcus Rashford seems okay – he is used to it,” Carragher joked, which led to uncomfortable smile in the studio.

Carragher's comment reference Man United's recent performances in the second European competition.

The Red Devils will play in the Europa League this season, with Rashford in the group stage before he came on loan at Aston Villa in January and the Champions League performed.

Man United, who in the past eight seasons interspersed between the Champions League and Europa League, could still have the last smile.

Ruben Amorim's side was able to book their place in the semi-final of the Europa League on Thursday, with their last eight draw against Lyon level on 2-2 after the first stage.

Despite the embarrassing blunder pre-match, Aston Villa came close to a beautiful turn against PSG on Tuesday with Rashford a central figure.

The hosts had left 3-1 of the first stage and saw the shortage increase when PSG raced in a 2-0 lead in the night.

Aston Villa threatened a remarkable turnaround with goals from Tielemans, John McGinn and Ezri Konsa brought them back at a moving distance.

Rashford had produced a brilliant assist for Konsa's goal, where the attacker seemed to revitalize through his loan that left Man United.

To date, he has six assists and three goals in 15 games for his loan club, and of course it has asked questions about whether he would immediately fit back with United, or perhaps decide that he is ready for a change of environment at the age of 27.

Speaking at Amazon Prime, the former Liverpool and Chelsea attacker Daniel Sturridge suggested that Rashford has wrongly proven his doubters at Aston Villa.

“The story before he came was that he was not the same player. He has proven that everyone is wrong, “said Sturridge.

'There was a story that he is not the same player and Amorim was right, but he again showed everyone that this is who I am and how I play.

'Sometimes as a player it is up to you to show the manager, sometimes you don't get a love from a manager, so you go on loan or fight to get your place and do what the manager wants to do and he has chosen to get here and it worked.

“Sometimes things are going the other way and it goes really bad, but I am really proud that he came here and everyone has shown what he is all about.”

'I don't know what he is planning to do, every player wants to be on the field and his manager to have total conviction, he has previously been at United Playing Week out and full of life and since he came to Villa, we see that version again.

“He was not himself, but now he is again, he plays with confidence and enjoys it important. Whatever he chooses to do is to him.

“The future is in the hands of Man United, he is their player and he will have options if United does not want him, but as united I look at him and they have to work out a way to make it work.”

Although Aston Villa looks good to qualify for the Champions League again next season, Man United Wayne Rooney suggested that Rashford will still want to succeed with the Red Devils.

“This is why I said about Villa at the highest level, Rashford thinks he has a better chance of trophies and performing here at United,” he said.

'It is a concern for United, but from the point of view of Villa it is positive. From Marcus's point of view, I really want to see him as if he were tonight, running around defenders, to remove shots, showing all his qualities. '
