Arsenal -fans are furious about the suggestion of Jamie Carragher that Declan Rice and other important stars will soon question their future in the club.
Carragher believes that Arsenal runs the risk of losing important players, including rice, unless they can soon get hold of silverware.
The Liverpool -legend warned that Rice, who signed for Arsenal in 2023 for £ 100 million, may have a headache about his future if they still have a bald season.
It has now been five seasons since the Gunners lifted a trophy next to the community shield.
Arsenal came from behind against champions Liverpool to squeeze a 2-2 draw in Anfield on Sunday, anything but the sealing of Champions League football. But after another frustrating year of almost men, Mikel Arteta was examined and Carragher fears that they run the risk of losing the team they have built.
'I don't think now [Rice will be doubting his future]'Carragher told Sky Sports. 'I think that for other players maybe in the team that has been a little longer.
'In terms of Declan, I think he was the best player of Arsenal this season. I am not saying that he would give it for 12 months, but I think those doubts may start in another 12 months.
'It can be different for someone like one [William] Saliba, who has been a little longer and is desperate to get some silverware in your hands.
'I don't think there will be such thoughts at the moment, I think they all feel that they are really close. They are very close, but we all know as players the last step is the biggest. '
Rice is contracted until 2028, with an option of an extra year, although Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Magalhaes see that their deals will lapse the season before.
Arsenal fans have beaten at Carragher and Sky Sports on X, in the conviction that he simply 'trollt' the multi-year second placed outfit.
'Jamie Carragher just makes shots on Arsenal, left and right! Arteta, Saliba, Rice, the board. No objectivity, no analysis only a Twitter troll used by Sky, “said a fan.
“No actual football analysis, which only create imaginary stories every week,” said another.
One wrote: '[Gary] Neville and Carragher have been a shame throughout the season (and for some time) in the sky, but both have brought it to new levels today -Neville's Arteta rating and Carragher's rice career -threat. Apparently without any consequences of the people who run the platform they have received. '
Another questioned: “Is this the same Carragher who said,” I am tired of people telling Liverpool -fans how to feel? ” Yet here he starts how Arsenal players feel. '
However, some supporters were on board with the sentiment of Carragher.
'Are you not sure why it is bothering people? As long as we don't continue to win to win trophies, this stuff will continue, “said one.
Another wrote: “Those are real words that said there, Declan must be at the club and see what the plan is on the doorstep, because this man is on his prime and he earns better.”
Arsenal did indeed come close this season under Arteta, after he has reached the semi -final of the Champions League and Carabao Cup, although they are 15 points behind Liverpool and lost to Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.
Injuries have been a mitigating circumstance – Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Ben White and Martin Odegaard have all endured injuries of average long -term. Havertz and Jesus will not come back until next season.
After Arsenal Real Madrid had been 5-1 in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, RICE seemed to point out the willing of a future in the long term at the club.
“I felt before I signed that we were on an upward route, I felt it,” he told TNT Sports.
'This club will do special things in the coming years, we completely believe it. We have full faith in this manager, he is incredible. '
