Carragher insists lack of striker is NOT Arsenal’s biggest problem

Jamie Carragher has insisted that the lack of a recognized striker of Arsenal is not their biggest problem in comments during the appearance on Monday evening football.

Carragher spoke at Sky Sports prior to the game of West Ham United at home at Newcastle United, and revealed how he thinks that Arsenal should improve elsewhere.

The Gunners suffered another blow in their bid on a first Premier League title in 21 years, because they were held on Sunday to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United in Old Trafford.

Despite the fact that without attackers Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, he is missing because of injury, Carragher thinks that Mikel Arteta's 'more creative players' is missing.

Carragher analyzed the game of Arsenal at home with the Hammers, and pointed to their inability to create high -quality opportunities as a reason why they further lost ground in the title race.

The former Liverpool defender also emphasized their inefficiency in accidental creation in Arsenal's next game to Nottingham Forest.

Carragher summarizes his thoughts about this issue: “Forget to bring in a number 9, the first thing they might have to do is more creative players.”

He worked out due to the inability of the North Londoners to bring Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana into action.

Carragher added: 'If Arsenal had had a number nine, let's say that there was Haaland playing for them. Would they have scored more goals? Of course they would do that because he is a top striker and a great finisher.

'But on the basis of [Arsenal’s last three games]With the best chances they have had, Erling Haaland makes no difference.

The comments from Carragher come after Arteta ran out of a TV interview when he was asked about Arsenal's fading title heap.

Reporter Patrick Davison stopped with Arteta who once left his interview after the game to ask a final question about the title race, but the Spaniard refused to answer and made a hasty exit.

Asked in a separate press conference or the challenge of Arsenal is finally over, Arteta said: “I don't want to say that, but today is the frustration that we have not won a game and you are obliged to win every match if you want to do the chance.”

In the course of the interview, Arteta seemed to be largely frustrated and Davison often interrupted to give early answers.

The camera had to move when Arteta tried to leave, and he cut a frustrated figure while making a hasty exit out of the chat.

He did this after Davison asked: “I have to ask you about the title race because it is now 15 points, is it too much?” Arteta replied: 'No, thank you', before leaving.

Prior to their match against Manchester United, Mailsport investigated how Arsenal a happy score of seven goals was against PSV Eindhoven in the biggest victory ever included in the competition.

Against PSV, Arsenal's highest rated chance came in terms of expected goals (XG) when Calafiori scored the seventh of his team with his right foot from just under 12 meters – with 0.36 xg.

Goals from Jurrien Timber and Leandro Trossard, on the other hand, generated a little more than 0.16 xg, even though they both came out of the six-year box.

As a result, Arsenal could happily consider himself that the draw brought to bed at such an early stage.

Expected goals are determined by a number of factors to determine how likely a certain shot is to touch the back of the net when it is taken.

Factors include the type of assist that led to the attempt, whether it was made a shot with the head or foot, the corner and distance of the shot, and whether it was determined as a big chance.

For example, a rebound that falls to a player for an open goal six meters out, has a high XG score, but a shot from 35 yards in a narrow angle will have a low XG score.

The expected goals are measured on a scale of 0.01 to 0.99 with a shot with an XG rating of 0.5, which means that a player is expected to score 50 percent of the time from the chance.
