Carragher pinpoints Liverpool’s major flaw – and singles out £40m new signing

Jamie Carragher has chosen what he thinks is Liverpool's fatal error after a blockbuster expenditure in the aftermath of their community shield defeat against Crystal Palace.

The Premier League champions went to Teen to Teen with their division divers in Wembley on Sunday afternoon and started a new look XI with the striking signing sessions from Arne Slot, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong.

It was not long before the former Eintracht Frankfurt star Ekitike had to announce itself to the Premier League with a lightning speed in the five minutes.

After Palace had leveled the procedure from the place, Frimpong recovered the lead of Liverpool 15 minutes later with his Freakish, sharp sloping strike, scored moving while the Reds Faithful after their deceased star Diogo Jota applauded his now retired shirt number.

But despite the impressive before the break, Liverpool was unable to completely struggle the control from the South London Club, and after Ismaila Sarr Paleis level dragged again, the Reds were finally overthrown by the subsequent penalty shoot-out.

But although Slot may have been comforted that his side was not to struggle with the so-called Community Shield Curse because they want to win back-to-back League titles this season, Reds legend Carragher has broadcast a concern about the attitude of the team on social media after the last whistle.

“LFC looks great in the future but sensitive, as we have seen the entire season,” Carragher posted on X.

'Many of the goals that have been admitted by LFC have come from going from man to humans really aggressive and space.

“Today (Milos) Kerkez is dragged in with Sarr who leaves Gakpo behind (wing back).”

Former Bournemouth left Kerkez in the back of Liverpool at the end of June to an amount of £ 40 million, but Liverpool remains somewhat briefly defending at the start of the season.

Academy Jarrell Quansah left his youth side for a permanent move to Bayer Leverkusen, and defensive loyal Joe Gomez struggles with an injury.

But Liverpool stars came face to face with a potential new teammate on the field in Noord-London, with Daily Mail Sport, who reported on Saturday evening that the club wanted to hold conversations about the future of Palace star Marc Guehi.

The Palace Defender has abolished the Community Shield as the first match in the last season of his contract, and after having rejected the English International last summer, chairman Steve Parish admitted that the club might be forced to renounce the £ 45 million-rated star.

'Yes, (Palace would sell Guehi if the price was good). Of course, for players of that caliber to leave for free, it is a problem for a football club, “Parish said. 'Unfortunately, there is no doubt about it.

'Joachim (Andersen) went and we could not afford to lose them both. We still had an offer in January, but that was also a difficult situation. We will just have to see what happens. It needs a new contract or a kind of conclusion.

'Eventually people trade players, that's what football clubs do. Of course, if you don't care tomorrow and sell everything, then we are a fantastic team.

'If we still had four players, I don't know what we could achieve. Unfortunately it is not always that simple.

“We'll have to see. We will do what we can. We will not stop working. But as far as people are here or are not, it depends on it.

'If it is the right decision for the football club and for them there will be changes. But we have to make smart. '

Liverpool is supposed to consider Palace's asking price for the star too high and will try to negotiate, or otherwise chase one of their other defensive goals.

Daily Mail Sport reported last month that the Teen star Giovanni Leoni of Parma will keep an eye on, with a lock who wants to find a young successor to influential captain Virgil van Dijk.

Carragher has previously been critical of Liverpool's statement and last week that he believes it has the feeling of one that 'looks not planned' – in particular their constant interest in Alexander Isak from Newcastle.

'' In terms of what Liverpool did in the summer by bringing in players, they have spent a lot of money and it does not feel like the Liverpool manner to do things so much – or certainly if you listen to some supporters who have been in the owner's business for so long! “Carragher said on the debate about overlapping fan, offered by Sky Bet.

“For me, when I think of Liverpool, it doesn't really look planned – I don't think the plan is to buy a striker for £ 80 million (in Ekitike), and then buy another for £ 120 million (in Isak).”
