Carragher reveals why Arteta will be FUMING after Arsenal slip up again in EPL

Jamie Carragher has claimed that Arsenal -Baas Mikel Arteta will be 'Furious' after the last setback of the Gunners in the Premier League.

Arsenal was held on Wednesday evening to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace, despite the fact that he led twice through goals from Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard.

The visitors went in the first half through a fine ebereechi volley, while Jean-Philippe Mateta benefited from a mistake by William Saliba to score a nice equalizer in the second.

The draw against Crystal Palace means that Liverpool now needs a point to be confirmed as Premier League champions.

The latest Slip -up from Arsenal has signed Arteta's side three of their last four Premier League and they still have to officially confirm their place in the Champions League of next season.

The Gunners are 10 points free of the sixth placed Chelsea who have played more a match, with the top five of a place in the European Elite competition next season.

Carragher suggested that Arteta will be frustrated that his side must have sealed their place for the semi -final of the Champions League against PSG.

The former defender of Liverpool suggested that Arteta can now be forced to place a stronger side against Bournemouth, between the first and second legs, with competition matches against champions prefer Liverpool and Newcastle on the horizon.

“I think Arteta will be furious,” said Carragher on Sky Sports.

'They will be of a good time to qualify for the Champions League, but you want to bring it to bed as quickly as possible.

'If they had won tonight, you could write the Bournemouth game between PSG and let the whole team rest.

'I don't think he is able to do that now when Liverpool comes afterwards.

'If they lose the next two games, they are simply behind you and they still have to go to Newcastle. You just don't want to look over your shoulder. '

Arsenal is organizing French champions PSG in the Emirates next Tuesday, before welcoming Bournemouth during the weekend.

The second stage against PSG comes only four days later.

The last Premier League matches of Arsenal include a trip to Anfield to be confronted with Liverpool on 11 May.

This is followed by a home game with Newcastle on May 18 and a last day trip to Southampton on 25 May.
