Jamie Carragher admits that he “doesn't really get the conversation” from Alexander Isak to Arsenal – insisting that he believes that Liverpool will also be in the race.
The Frontman of Newcastle has been a highlight in the Premier League of this season and is on track to post his best goal ever. He has determined records for the Magpies while pushing back to a top-four place, largely because of the goals of the Swede.
Newcastle is not yet challenging for the title and it means that several of their big names are linked to movements. The problems of Arsenal in the last third are well documented and they are tipped for a NR. 9 in the summer to strive with Isak under the most frequently mentioned names.
However, Carragher believes that Liverpool, who could lose well in the summer if Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, chose to match the Gunners for a player who maintains Newcastle, is not for sale, but a huge offer could test their determination.
The Sky Sports Pundit said on the hot soccer! Podcast: “I don't get a lot of talk about going to Arsenal. I know that Arsenal would love him, but I would also say one thing, Arsenal is not the only team that a center-forward needs. Liverpool needs one also.
“I think Liverpool will be on the market in the summer for a center ahead. So if he was available, there is no doubt that Arsenal would go for him, but I think Liverpool would also be part of that queue.
“The problem you have with Real Madrid is that they have [Kylian] Mbappe, Barcelona I am not sure if they have the money – but they would probably be on the market for a center because you think about the age of [Robert] Lewandowski, but if he has to leave Newcastle, he has to go to a team that has a realistic opportunity to win the Champions League because he is so good. “
Isak could lead Newcastle for 70 years to their first major trophy when they play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final next month. The Swede was on goal when the two teams met in a thriller of six goals that ended very square earlier this season.
