A Celtic star had three first-half goals disallowed in his side's clash with Young Boys in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Brandan Rodgers' side were in the hunt for a place in the play-off round of the competition and were currently on the verge of doing so, but found it difficult to beat their Swiss opponents at home.
Kyogo Furuhashi thought he had given his side the lead three times, the first of which came in the opening minute when he was flagged for offside.
Then, just after the hour, the attacker rode away in celebration, with no doubt that he would hold out. However, it was ruled that there had been a violation in the build-up.
Moments later he had the ball in the net again, but again the ball was disallowed for offside.
“It's now a hat-trick of ruled out goals for Kyogo after another one has been chopped off,” the Celtic X account posted during the match.
Things also went from bad to worse for the home side that evening, as they were awarded a penalty five minutes before half-time when Greg Taylor was tripped by Darian Males.
Arne Engels had a golden opportunity to open the scoring, but his effort was saved by Marvin Keller.
Celtic knew going into the match that a win would be crucial against a side that had lost all six games in the new-look competition so far this season.
We go into the match with nine points, which will probably not be enough. A draw would take them to 10th, but in the end they secured a 1-0 win through an own goal from captain Loris Benito, at least securing their place in the play-offs.
Teams must finish in the top 24 of the league stage to reach the play-offs, with the top eight automatically progressing to the last 16. Celtic could still achieve that if they beat Aston Villa in their final match.
