Celtic is celebrating a fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title, but who were the most important players who landed an important honor for the hoops?
Daizzen Maeda stepped up after the departure of Kyogo Furuhashi and scored 16 league goals and 33 in all competitions.
Captain Callum McGregor continues to impress in midfield, while at the back Kasper Schmeichel, Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter Vickers have been the key to ensure that Celtic has the best defensive record in Scotland.
Here you can vote for your player of the season and also see how Chris Sutton from Sky Sports ranks the title -winning team …
Kasper Schmeichel – 8/10: He has been really impressive, especially after he has to take over from Joe Hart. He is very insured and his experience has been really important.
I think he has been an upgrade in terms of having the ball at his feet. I think he is a good shot stopper.
There has been a strange decline as the season went longer, but I think he has been an excellent piece of company from the perspective of Celtic. They like to buy players and develop them and sell them – there are always exceptions to that rule.
Viljami Sinisalo – 6/10: It is always difficult to judge a player who has not played much this season. When he was summoned because of the injury of Kasper Schmeichel, he stepped up to the task and performed well.
Alistair Johnston – 8/10: He has been very reliable, although I think he probably had his worst Celtic match against Rangers in the home defeat.
Certainly, in the first half of the season, that understanding he had with Nicholas Kuhn on that right side, their relationship was a very strong part of Celtic in terms of their attacking game.
He is someone who certainly trusts Brendan and he is one of those players who has given a pretty considerable service. He will be one of those players who would have caught the attention of clubs in the south.
Anthony Ralston 6/10: he is another player who has only had a handful start because of the will of Alistair Johnston. He will undoubtedly want more playing time, but one thing that you cannot doubt is his dedication and attitude.
Cameron Carter -Vickers – 8/10: He is the one on the back that has been really reliable and reliable and reads the game well. Perhaps injuries have hindered him a bit this season, but his collaboration with Auston Trusty has been important for Celtic.
When he starts in the center of half, you always feel that Celtic has a strong chance of keeping their opposition at bay. This season there has been one or two odd course, but his standards have been so high in previous seasons.
In general we know how strong he is, but I think he has also performed well in the Champions League.
Liam Scales – 7/10: he finds it difficult from Celtic fans, but is always reliable when he has been to the team. The longer the season went, maybe his shape has fallen a bit.
If you think about how he made his career at Celtic and he took his chance, I think he was pretty good. I would give him a solid seven.
Auston Trusty – 7.5/10: He is really athletic, but is one of those players who sometimes kissed and caught.
But I think his partnership with Carter vickers has generally been important and Brendan is happy to leave him two-to-two at the back. He knows how fast he is and sees himself, especially in his own country, from every situation, and that can be a problem.
Concentration is something that he could improve, but in general he has been very strong for Celtic.
Jeffrey Schlupp – 7.5/10: Bringing him in has been a very smart part of the business community. He also had his sloppy moments, but I would keep him as a backup of Kieran Tierney.
Celtic needs coverage for Tierney. We know Tierney's versatile and gives Brendan many options. In the left position, Celtic certainly needs coverage for him and the fact that Schlupp is also versatile works well.
Greg Taylor – 7/10: I have always felt with Greg at the highest level, Champions League level, he is a bit defensive.
However, he has brought Celtic quality. He is game-intelligent and plays that inverted midfield role better than anyone else.
It seems that he will be gone in the summer and it will be a loss for Celtic, unless they can make that new contract match. Jeffrey Schlupp is more athletic, better in one-on-one situations, but does not play that reverse role and not Greg.
Some Celtic fans may have considered him a bit of course and he will be one of those players who will be missed when he leaves.
Arne Engels – 7/10: He came up with an expectation because of the money that Celtic has spent on him, but he is not the completed article.
He becomes stronger physically, he covers the ground and has a great delivery. You just feel that there is still a gear.
Physically I think he has all attributes. People think because of his reimbursement, he should suddenly be at a higher level than anyone else. The fact that he is now completely covered by Belgium, tells you how high they judge him. It is not an easy performance to get into that team with some of the quality players they have.
Callum McGregor – 9/10: There is a feeling that I get with the Celtic support that he gets a bit on and may not have the legs, but you can see the difference when he doesn't play.
Every side that comes across Celtic, especially in his own country, has a plan to try to cancel it, but he always finds a way to knit things together. He has a brilliant football brain.
We have seen in the past that players try to play his role and they can't play it near the level he does. He has been phenomenal. There is currently no one at Celtic who can replicate what he brings to the team.
Luke McCowan – 7/10: Every time he comes up, he brings something to the Celtic team, a little dynamic and he has scored a number of important goals.
I think he is someone who is somewhat a shame not to get started anymore, but I also think there is an element of something about him that Brendan does not fully trust.
I always feel that, whether it is a goal or a pass, he always brings a little sharp when it comes.
Reo Hatate – 7/10: When he came in for the first time, I thought his levels were so high, and there was perhaps a bit of a drop. It is my expectation of how I thought he would develop this season. He has still been tidy and tidy and played an important role.
He is still very influential for Celtic, treats the ball well and is good in tight situations. I think he could be someone who would regularly play at a very high level in the Premier League.
Paulo Bernardo – 6/10: There was a lot of excitement and expectation that he would certainly have been more influential than he has been.
We know when everyone is fit what Rodgers' first XI will be, but despite his lack of playing time, when he has emerged, he has shown that he is a really good tactical player.
His career at Celtic did not have a moted as I think we had expected, but he can still have an impact from the bank.
James Forrest 6/10: I think he has been such an underrated player. In his early days he struggled a bit with injuries, but he has been such a consistent performer.
It is appropriate that this league title profit has seen him that record break to become the most decorated player in the history of Celtic, who exceeds Lisbon Lion Bobby Lennox. What a career he had and I am sure he hopes to add to those 26 trophies.
Hyun-Jun Yang-7/10: a player who has scored a number of important goals for Celtic. He has become better as the campaign continued and may have benefited from the coaching.
I felt at the start of the season because he was used sparingly that his time would be at Celtic. I don't necessarily think that is the case now. He has had small cameies where he did well.
Nicolas KUHN – 8/10: At the start of the season he hit the ground, surprised life from everyone and looked like he would clean up in terms of his first half of the season with the Player of the Year Awards. He was so good that influential, dynamic, brilliant, intelligent and had a real clarity of thinking in terms of the way he played the game. Goals, assists, they were all there.
I don't know if he turned his head or if everyone has patches in a season in which they don't get the heights, but something feels wrong at the moment. His first half was perhaps phenomenal and it would be good for him to complete the season strongly and send a message that he is back to that level.
DAIZEN MAEDA – 9/10: On many occasions he is the best player I think I have ever seen when closing, the eruption of sprints, his intensity, but where I think he really improved during his time at Celtic is the quality he brings to the team and brought his game.
He must be a nightmare to play against, but he has been a huge surprise in terms of the quality he brought to the team. The different types of goals he has scored – the headers, the chips, left foot, right foot.
He is a big player for Celtic in Europe and inland, and he will rightly win the player of the year.
JOTA – 7/10: I still don't think it's the Jota who came to Celtic for the first time. He did not have the influence in games he used to have. If he were to come back and hit that level immediately, Celtic would really have been in business, but he has physical work to do. You feel that there is so much more from him.
I understand the shouting for his return, but if you think he was £ 25 million and returned for £ 8 million – he seems to take his time. Brendan is quite measured in the way he used it.
Adam Idah – 7/10: He scored some crucial goals for Celtic, some important goals in large competitions.
I have sympathy for him, it was very difficult when Kyogo was the first choice and suddenly he is thrown in and the expectation is because you are a Celtic center output, that it will be as a switch and sets fire.
I always feel that someone of that physicality can be more of people banjo than he and there is more. He has still been an important player and sometimes very useful about the couch, but it is only about levels and I just feel that Brendan is not completely convinced that he is the Celtic No. 9.
Kyogo Furuhashi – 9/10: Just like McGregor, he is at a different level with his consciousness and how to play the game. Players like that can play around corners, they are for most people, very intelligent.
Sometimes he missed easy opportunities, but his ability to influence large games was the key. He was a player who should have tried to keep Celtic, but it makes no sense to cry for spilled milk. You have Maeda, you have Idah, both capable, but they are different from Kyogo in terms of the way they play.
