CESC Fabregas has responded to reports that Manchester United links to a movement for Como Starlet Assane Diao – insisting on the ambitious Serie A -side, is not going to redeem their best young talents.
The 19-year-old winger, who represents Senegal at an international level, immediately had an impact in Italy since he came to Como van Real Betis in January for £ 10.5 million.
Diao has scored six goals in just 13 Deeping of the Serie A, which attracted attention with his electric pace and fearless attacking game.
His shape reportedly attracted the attention of Old Trafford, where United is said to follow the teenager as part of their summer structure.
It is said that Diao made an impression on the United reconnaissance network.
Reports in Portugal also claimed that United Manager Ruben Amorim was a sharp admirer of the winger.
But Como Manager Fabregas apparently gave a hands-off warning to potential lovers, by underline the desire of his club to build around exciting young players instead of selling them alone for profit.
“We try to go for young, talented players who did not play: they are doing well here and their value is clearly increasing,” explains Fabregas.
'There is no mentality of speculation and selling, they come here to grow and improve the team. Then Manchester can clearly ask to ask Diao by offering € 40 million, but it is not obvious that he will leave. '
Diao was earlier on Brentford's radar during his time in Spain.
