The 38-year-old was strongly connected to the German club with Xabi Alonso who took over from Carlo Ancelotti in Real Madrid.
Fabregas chose to stay with Como, but was impressed by the Italians and brought them to the tenth with 48 points with two more Series A games.
At his press conference before the competition, Fabregas said: “I spoke with the club, we have made progress, I am happy here. I want to understand if everyone wants to continue and they are all tailored to my ideas. I have also spoken with other clubs, I am respectful and speak to everyone.
“There is an official announcement. I am happy, we all have to be on the same page to go together.”
