Real Madrid star Arda Guler is facing more pressure than most people of his age or status as he is tipped as the next big talent for Turkiye, according to Carlo Ancelotti. However, that talent should not yet earn him an important role under the Italian.
Guler made 17 appearances this season, scoring once and providing one assist, but only managed 575 minutes in total. These also come from just six starts in total, and the feeling is that the Turkish prodigy is not being trusted for big games, even though he did start against Liverpool.
The 19-year-old is also the object of interest from Bayer Leverkusen. Die Werkself has contacted Güler's agent and family to express interest in loaning him out next summer, in case he leaves for more regular playing time. Florian Plettenberg explains that Real Madrid have not yet held talks with Leverkusen and have ruled out a winter transfer.
Ancelotti said the same about both Endrick and Guler during his pre-match press conference ahead of the match between Los Blancos and Atalanta.
