Chelsea fans push PL to investigate Boehly over ‘unauthorised ticket website’

Chelsea fans have demanded that the Premier League is investigating their owner Todd Boehly.

In 2022, the American billionaire has the £ 4.25 billion purchase of the West -London club from Roman Abramovich from Roman Abramovich.

Since then he has been on a stunning transfer disaster and has speckled more than £ 1.2 billion on new signing sessions.

Boehly, 51, also tries to find out what the future house of Chelsea will look like a larger, more modern stadium to replace Stamford Bridge.

However, the owner of La Dodgers is not universally popular with blues supporters -as demonstrated with a protest march against him and the Clearlake Capital and Blueco groups that form the consortium.

And now the confidence of Chelsea supporters have launched a destructive attack on Boehly by reporting him.

The organization sent a letter to the Premier League director Richard Masters.

And the center of their anger lies around Boehly's connection with the controversial company lively seats.

Since the investment in 2021, Boehly has been director of the company who resell tickets for Premier League matches, including Chelsea luminaires, at enormously inflated prices, often thousands of pounds above the facial value.

The American company is mentioned by the PREM as an “unauthorized ticket website” and tells fans to practice “extreme caution” when they deal with them and other exchange sites.

Tickets for Chelsea's London Derby at home op Tottenham on 3 April are available to buy on lively seats for more than £ 2,000 at the time of writing.

For the Liverpool game on 2 May, the prices vary from £ 442 to more than £ 3,200.

It is against British law to sell tickets in this way, making it illegal for British fans to buy Premier League tickets from lively seats.

It comes against the background of the Stamford Bridge -Hierarchy with pride their performance against Tickettouts outside the stadium on a competition day.

And blues fans are furious with Boehly's direct involvement in a website that refers to supporters who want to view their team live in action.

CST labeled it as a “violation of trust” and a “clear conflict of interest”.

The letter to Prem Boss Masters said: “Mr Boehly's connection with lively seats is completely inappropriate and undermines the efforts of Chelsea FC, the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police considerably to fight touts.

'No excuse'

“Vivid Seats continues to mention the most important tickets for upper nominal value at considerably inflated rates.

“This not only undermines the efforts of Chelsea FC, the Premier League and the Metropolitan Police to combat touts, but lively seats are contrary to the Chelsea FC ticket policy and is explicitly mentioned by the Premier League as a known non -authorized ticket website.

“We believe that it is now the time for the Premier League to act quickly and to ensure that a large shareholder of a Premier League club stops to facilitate the sale of tickets for considerably above nominal value.”

The Soccer Supporters Association threw their support behind the CST and added: “It is clear that the Premier League must take action.

“Clubs, supporters groups, the police and the Premier League themselves have worked hard in recent years to combat ticket – there is no excuse for a club owner to be involved in such activities.”

Sunsport has contacted Chelsea for comment.
