The London giants are hoping to sign the midfielder on loan from Juventus for the rest of the season.
Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is in turn showing interest in Chelsea defender Renato Veiga.
There could be a possible swap deal, with Juventus loaning Veiga and loaning Luiz for the rest of the season.
