Chelsea has performed their pursuit of Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho after Enzo Maresca had opened the door for Nicolas Jackson to leave.
A formal investigation has now been done by the blues about the Argentinian winger of United and they are waiting for a response.
Maresca hopes both Garnacho and RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons to land before the end of the window.
United is expected to ask about £ 40 million for Garnacho, who was frozen in Old Trafford by Baas Ruben Amorim.
While Chelsea is working on more incoming deals, there are still a number of players who leave this summer.
There is now an expectation that Jackson, who signed a nine -year -old deal last summer, is one of that leaves.
The future of the attacker was questioned after a difficult end until last season and the arrival of two new strikers at Stamford Bridge.
Newcastle, Manchester United and Aston Villa have all considered the movements for the Senegal International.
As it looks now, Newcastle looks the most likely destination, although the blues appreciates the 24-year-old at £ 80 million.
Jackson would be open to a move to St. James' Park, although no formal conversations have taken place yet.

When asked about Jackson's situation, Maresca said: “Nico is fine. He is fine.
“When the transfer window is open, unfortunately or happy, everything can happen.
“This also includes Nico's situation.
“At the moment we also had two strikers, both in the US, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
“So we will see what happens.”
The conversations take place with a relocation of £ 50 million for the Dutch international Simons, which is expected to fly to France to France with the German side for a pre-season-friendly lens today.
Burnley and Chelsea keep talking about the sale of Armando Broja.Broja is one of a number of players who have trained separately from Maresca's first team this summer.
The Italian has admitted that he does not pay attention to the 'birch team' and only discovers their destiny from a text or a tap on the shoulder.
He said: “When they leave, it's just the club they text me or they call.
“It was just mentioned against me that Lesley came to Burnley.
“I have this kind of news from the club because I don't pay attention to those who train and have to leave.
“I just concentrate on how we prepare for the session, how we can win games.”
