Chelsea ratings: Tyrique George breaks deadlock with first Blues goal but tired Cole Palmer hooked at half-time

Chelsea took control of their Europa Conference League quarterfinals draw against Legia Warsaw after a 3-0 win in Poland.

The blues had to do with a raw atmosphere of the Polish crowd with pre-game pyrotechnics that left a heavy cloud of smoke in the defensive end of the visitor at the start of the game.

The home crowd was certainly for the collision and sang during the game, despite the fact that precious little happened in the first half.

Enzo Maresca clearly gave his side a wake-up call during the break with the blues that looked energetic after the break before Tyrique George responded the fastest to a Reece James shot to break the impasse.

Noni Madueke took the second a few minutes later when Chelsea made the most out of a counterattack.

Madueke added a third, set up again by Jadon Sancho, 25 seconds after Christopher Nunku saw a penalty saved. For example, Tony Robertson from Sunsport rated the blues in Poland.

Filip Jorgensen – 6

Not tested in the first half, with Chelsea dominating the ball.

Seemed to be set not to change the second half until he had to save a vicious patryk Kun shot up close in the 90th minute.

Joshua ACEAMPONG – 6

Played more like a third CB with Gusto more advanced reversal from LB and looked comfortable enough in the role. Steped in a more conventional role and won the ball back high and led to the first shot of the game on Doel van Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Growed in relying on the ball and was more involved in the second half.

Tosin Adarabioyo – 5

Made some smart line-breaking steps to put the Chelsea attackers away from the Legia defense.

Made during the rest for Levi Colwill.

Benoit Badiashile – 5

Showed a good force against the Legia attackers.

Nodded down a cross to a dangerous area that the last ditch needed to erase.

Malo Gusto – 6

Today playing with left back and did not look out after giving the ball away a few times. Growed out to the game and was better with his crosses.

Replaced by Mathis Amaugou after the third goal entered.

Reece James – 7

Back in midfield before the collision and seemed to spray comfortably, even if he was rarely tested on the ball. Showed some good power when he was asked to do his defensive tasks.

Curls a beautiful cross in Dewsbury-Hall just after the break, but his midfield partner picked his header. Saw a shot for George to score the rebound.

Kiernan Dewsbury -hall – 6

It often noticed that he drove to the right to support Sancho. Had a curly shot shattered by the keeper for the first shot on goal before missing an open header in the middle of the area at the break.

Had another excellent chance just after the break after haunting in the box to lead a James Cross.

Cole Palmer – 4

Gedoped everywhere on the field to get on the ball, but struggled to find his reach, with one pass to Nunku on a promising counterattack that went behind rush hour.

Looked tired and was addicted to Madueke during the break.

Jadon Sancho – 7

Saw much of the ball in the early stages with little tangible output. Seemed to miss the courage or know-how to beat his defender, even though they are often one-on-one isolated.

Moved to the left wing after the break and saw it combining brighter apart with verve. Set Madueke to score the second goal of the evening. Set Madueke again at 25 seconds after the stored fine of Nunku with a good low cross to the distant pole.

Christopher Nunku – 3

Wasted a dangerous counterattack by dragging a shot wide in the 15th minute, although in his defense he was fed by Palmer behind him. Place a ball on a plate for Dewsbury-Hall to score, but he missed his header.

Moved behind George after the break and then seemed more interested in the game. Was just happiness when he won a penalty before he saw the spot kick saved, with Madueke and scored 25 seconds later.

Tyrique George – 7

Silent in the first half, but then scored his first senior goal just after the break, because he first responded to a rebound of a James's shot when he was moved to the central rush role.

After 75 minutes. But clear places showed in after his movement.

Subs

Noni Madueke (for Palmer, half time) – 9

Immediately made an impact when he accepted his husband and succeeded in kicking them back. Rewarded for his positive game with a goal from Sancho for a counterattack from Chelsea.

Added a second seconds after the penalty save while he tapped on the distant pole in a Sancho cross.

Levi Colwill (for Adarabioyo, half time) – 6

He was tested defensively solidly in the rare cases, but was the most impressive spray cards from the back line.

Marc Cucurella (for James, 58 minutes) – 5

Almost caught at times of rising after you came behind him, just to fire the ball out of the game.

Mathis Amougou (for Gusto, 75 minutes) – 6

Made his European debut in Poland. Not much to note after that.

Shumaira Mheuka (for George, 75 minutes) – 5

I saw some powerful outbursts in the box late, but was abandoned by a bad pass or touch.
