Chelsea receive late transfer approach for Joao Felix as defender exit blocked

AC Milan is working on a Deadline Day for Chelsea attacker Joao Felix.

The Portuguese attacker, who arrived from Atletico Madrid last summer for a first £ 42 million plus £ 4.3 million in add-ons, has only made three starts in the Premier League this season.

The Italian giant Milan wants to sign Felix on loan, but are not willing to pay a considerable fee to borrow the player until the end of the season.

Felix's super agent Jorge Mendes tries to unlock the deal, but Chelsea is still undecided about whether they are willing to have the 25-year-old Stamford Bridge leave. Further conversations are expected to take place in the coming hours. The blues have also received other proposals for Felix from other clubs this month.

Chelsea has only one international loan spot left in the quota, which means that a late deal is still possible, provided that the two clubs can make ends meet.

Argentinian Center-Back Aaron Anselmino, who recently arrived from Boca Juniors, has attracted a strong loan interest from Europe and Marseille was in pole position to land the 19-year-old despite approaches of Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta.

But Chelsea blocks the switch from Anselmino to France and currently that movement will not happen, apart from a late swing of the pendulum.

Aston Villa had also shown a strong interest in Felix and Unai Emery has tried the ex-Barcelona loaner for the past three transfer windows, but Villa was not willing to match Chelsea's financial requirements.

It is clear that the blues were open for the sale of Felix to Villa if they effectively received a similar financial package as the one who paid at Atletico for the Portugal International last August.

In the meantime, Christopher Nunku seems ready to stay in West Londs despite the interest of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

The Frenchman did not want to leave a straight loan, but would be open to permanent offers, including a first loan with an obligation to buy. Chelsea remains open to signing a midfielder on Deadline Day and there is interest in Nico O'Reilly from Manchester City, but a first approach has been made.

Ben Chilwell is undergoing a medical for a proposed loan switch to Crystal Palace, while Tottenham has cooled their interest in Axel Disasi.

Spurs had agreed a financial package with Chelsea that includes substantial loan costs, but after hijacking the move of Wolves for Kevin Danso, they now cool their interest after disagreing to personal conditions. Aston Villa is his favorite destination, although the bosses of Stamford Bridge are reluctant to enable him to join a direct rival.
