Chelsea to build 1,400 £1m football-themed Dubai flats with rooftop pitch

The new partners of Chelsea will build 1,400 apartments with a luxury football theme in Dubai-with a blues brand Pitch on the roof.

The West-London club signed a deal with the Dubai-based real estate company Damac.

On the long-term sponsorship, the company in the Middle East becomes a global partner of Chelsea.

They will also see their logo splashing over the front of the team's shirts for the few remaining games of the season – which have been empty since the start of the campaign.

But now Damac has confirmed that they have designed the very first brand home in collaboration with the Premier League club.

The Chelsea Residences will be founded in the maritime city of Dubai and “merges luxury lifestyle with sporting heritage of world class”.

Architects Gensler has designed the stunning £ 1 million flats with a series of apartments with one, two and three bedrooms all with floor-to-ceiling glass and an excellent sea view.

Damac says: “This milestone development contains more than 1400 sea-areas units and a lifestyle that has competitions on the match-day energy.

“Expect daring design, breathtaking views and facilities inspired by the spirit of champions.

“The interiors radiate modern refinement with high-end finishes, state-of-the-art materials and subtle Chelsea branding everywhere.

“Residents will enjoy a football field on the roof, Grand Lion images and exclusive experiences on the water such as an Infinity Sand Pool, Aqua Gym and a Starlit Spa.

“This is only the first half.”

There will even be a 'Chelsea football simulation room', 'Chelsea Lion Beach' and the Blues -Badge on the roof field – making it the perfect house for any blues fans in the VAE.

The complex is just 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

But they will not be cheap.

Prices start from £ 430,000 for an apartment with one bedroom.

But the most expensive houses will reduce buyers no less than £ 1 million.

It is not the first time that Damac has worked with major brands – with their other projects, including a Roberto Cavalli Tower and Paramount Hotel in Dubai – Plus the Versace Tower in Nine Elms, London.
