The long -term habit of Valencia to redeem their talented young people, seem to continue this summer. Midfielder Javi Guerra is closely followed by a number of teams, but defender Crithian Mosquera is perhaps the most likely sale in the midst of a difficult contract situation.
The 20-year-old defender caught the attention under Ruben Baraja, and already in January last year AC Milan Mosquera considered a potential option. Atletico Madrid are also admirers of him. For Valencia they will probably want to sell him this summer without agreement on contract renewal. His current deal is going next summer, and although he has a release clause of € 80 million, Los Che will be willing to separate with him for just € 25 million.
Their information is that Chelsea is expected to open conversations for Mosquera in the near future. Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Atletico also follow his situation, but Chelsea's strongest competition may come from RB Leipzig.
A report from Relo states that Leipzig will go all the way for Mosquera this summer, perhaps with the realization that Europe's biggest clubs are all watching Castello Lukeba. He also fits into Chelsea's transfer strategy, while trying to invest in a broad pool of young talent.
Mosquera broke in the team under Baraja two years ago and immediately looked like a rising star in a stingy back line, who was forward with his pace and strength. This season, however, was more difficult for Mosquera, who played the last two games on right back to accommodate Mouctar Diakhaby in the central defense. His partnership with Cesar Tarrega has been less solid, with Mosquera de Shakier of the two than with Gabriel Paulista.
