Chelsea have signed many promising youngsters in recent years, and their latest target is in Spain: Deportivo La Coruna winger Yeremay Hernandez.
In recent weeks, the Premier League giants have submitted two bids for Yeremay: the first, which was rejected, was worth €10 million, while their last bid was €12 million, and has not yet been responded to.
Deportivo could choose to reject this too, as it is unlikely that Chelsea would let the 22-year-old stay at the Segunda club for the rest of the season if an agreement was reached. In this regard, the only way a deal will get done is if his release clause is activated – and according to ED, it is valued at €20 million.
There is no doubt that Yeremay is a very important player for Deportivo, but an offer close to that amount would certainly be too good to refuse. However, it would be a bitter blow to lose one of their key players for the remainder of the season, especially as they are currently embroiled in a relegation battle.
